I am very proud to present Garforth Community College's website. I believe this website presents a clear picture of the exciting and innovative school I have the honour of leading.

Garforth Community College is one of the most successful schools in the north of England. We believe our commitment to high standards continues to ensure all our students reach their potential with whatever skills they possess. There are no barriers to achievement in this College and teachers, parents and students work together to create an unbeatable team with one common goal - the best possible success for every child.

Our staff are highly qualified and dedicated professionals with a diverse range of talents and skills. They all work tirelessly to support the education of the children at this College. That is why our examination results continue year on year to be amongst the best in the country.

We have a strong tradition of success that is built upon a firm foundation of strong pastoral care. We believe that every child is capable of exceeding our expectations and that a climate of order and security, focused on achievement, ensures their success.

In recent years our successes have been recognised by many organisations, commending us time and time again as an outstanding school. Ofsted, HMI and the Dfes have all described this school as excellent, and we continue to achieve success, regularly receiving awards for outstanding performance. We are also a Specialist School in the Performing Arts, which has enabled us to develop many outstanding specialist facilities not normally found in a Comprehensive school.
