The Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Garforth Community College:
Numerous Garforth Community College students have successfully taken on the challenges of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme over recent years and have gone on to achieve many awards.
In fact, in the past, students who have successfully completed their Gold Award have even been invited to attend a Royal Presentation at St James's Palace or Buckingham Palace. To gain the Gold Award students must complete five areas of study: Skill, Service, Physical Recreation, Expedition and a Residential project.
The College operates the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for students of Year 9 and above.
Details of how to enrol for the Award can be obtained from Jane Lambert (Duke of Edinburgh's Coordinator) on the College number (0113 336 8600)
We are also happy to support individuals who are not on the College roll, but live in the vicinity.
