Home and College Agreement
Our home/College agreement is a document that has been arrived at through close consultation with parents. The agreement defines the expectations that we share as a community from the perspectives of parents, teachers and students. Signing our home/College agreement expresses a commitment on the part of all involved.
The aim of the College is to promote / provide excellence in teaching, learning, relationships and opportunities through life expectations and reference to traditional values and standards. This is achieved in the following way;
As agreed by the Governors of the College;
COLLEGE

Provide a safe, secure and supportive environment.

Provide high expectations of student achievement.

Provide a framework for good behaviour and discipline by promoting and requiring personal and moral values such as respect for others, good manners, honesty, truthfulness and apply consistent guidelines about discipline.

Deliver the National Curriculum and other educational opportunities, including basic skills, such as reading, writing and numeracy and information and communication technology (ICT).

Meet the individual needs of students in line with funding provision, resources and teacher expertise

Create and maintain a stimulating learning environment.

Provide information to parents / guardians about the progress, achievement and attainment of each student, including an annual written report and consultation meetings.

Set homework that is appropriate to the needs and age of the student and in accordance with a homework timetable.

Communicate problems and concerns to parents / guardians and respond promptly to parental concerns or requests.
HOME
Parents / Guardians will commit themselves to:

Support and co-operate with the College and its policies.

Inform the College of problems and concerns and, in partnership, try to solve them.

Provide a suitable environment for homework and ensure that homework is completed

Ensure full attendance and punctuality.

Avoid taking holidays during term time unless with prior permission of the Headteacher, as set out in law and Government guidance (The Education (Pupil Registration) Regulations 1995 paras 8 and 9 and Guidance Notes September 1995).

Ensure a student is appropriately presented, dressed and equipped for College in accordance with College policy, procedures and requirements in the Prospectus and Student Planner.

Attend parent / carer interviews and appropriate meetings.

Support the College rules about behaviour and discipline.
